Complianz GDPR cookie consent will block content from third party services like Youtube, Facebook, Linkedin, etc, to prevent these services from placing tracking cookies.

The consequence is that there will be an empty space in your site where the video or other content usually is. For services like Youtube, Vimeo or Dailymotion we have integrated a system where the plugin pulls a screencapture of the video, and shows it instead.

For other services a placeholder is shown. The default placeholder is this image:

It’s on the to do list to be able to choose the placeholder image in the settings, but right now you can do this by adding the following code to your theme’s functions.php:

add_filter('cmplz_default_placeholder', "cmplz_my_placeholder");
function cmplz_my_placeholder($placeholder_url){
    $placeholder_url = 'https://your-domain.com/your-image.png';
    return $placeholder_url;
}
