Do Not Track (DNT) is a technology provided in browsers and mobile devices. Depending on the settings it can allow or prevent websites from collecting information about browser activities.
According to CalOPPA, a Californian Privacy law, website owners must let their visitors know how they handle Do Not Track signals.
The privacy statement generated with Complianz (Premium) mentions if your website does or does not respond and support the Do Not Track (DNT) header request field. If your visitor
turns on DNT in the browser, and if you have decided to respond to the Do Not Track (DNT) header request, the Complianz plugin will automatically try to block any tracking of the browsing behaviour.
Please note that there currently isn’t an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honouring DNT signals. You aren’t required to respond to requests.
