There are cases imaginable where you want to exclude a certain page from the Cookie Scan, so that cookies set on that page will not be discovered during the scan. In addition, you may have certain pages where you do not want to display the Cookie Banner, or where it is not desired to block scripts that might set cookies.
This article provides filters that can be used to achieve such results.
These filters are recommended to be implemented as MU Plugins, for which you can find installation instructions here: Adding filters with MU Plugins. Quick & Easy
Excluding a page from the Cookie Banner
The Cookie Banner will not be displayed on pages where the URL contains the word found between single quotes on line 18, which is ‘shop’ in the below example. Change this to the unique part of your URL where you want the Cookie Banner to be excluded from.
Excluding a page from the Cookie Banner and Cookie Blocker
Adjusting this filter can be done in the same way as for the above filter: but in addition to the Cookie Banner not being displayed, the Cookie Blocker will also be deactivated from pages where the URL contains the word found between single quotes on line 18.
Excluding a page from the Cookie Scan
The Cookie Scan will no longer report Cookies found on pages where the URL includes the word between single quotes found on line 12, which is ‘string-to-exclude’ in the below example.
Excluding post types from the Cookie Scan
The Cookie Scan will not report Cookies if the post type matches the one found between single quotes on line 11 of the filter, ‘not_this_posttype’ in the below example.
Excluding cookies from the Cookie Scan based on their name/prefix
