If an external party receives and processes personal data on behalf of your organization, a Data Processing Agreement is essential to regulate the scope and purpose of the processing of this data. A Data Processing Agreement with Complianz is not required. Complianz is a standalone WordPress plugin that operates on the webserver owned or controlled by the admin of a website. Complianz does not work as a SAAS or cloud solution, and does not “call home”. This also means that no data is shared with Complianz as a Vendor. Furthermore, Complianz has no access to the data of any of the visitors of the website and does not receive the IP addresses.
