Because you’re using Google Site Kit, you can choose which plugin should insert the relevant snippet.

Possible configurations;

  1. Complianz will add the Analytics snippet. Google Site Kit will only report.
  2. Google Site Kit will add the Analytics snippet. Complianz handles consent only.
  3. Complianz will add the Tag Manager snippet to handle consent. Google Site Kit should not implement the Tag Manager snippet.

  1. Go to Complianz
  2. Wizard -> Step: Consent -> Section: Statistics
  3. Answer the following question as such;

Question:  Do you compile statistics of your website?

If you want Google Site Kit to insert the analytics snippet, you can keep the default settings. In Complianz do the following;

  1. Go to Complianz
  2. Wizard -> Step: Consent -> Section: Statistics
  3. Answer the following question based on your preference;

Question:  Do you compile statistics of your website?

Answer:  Yes, with Google Analytics
Follow-up: All 3 checkboxes ‘checked’

If you have answered this question as shown above and finished the wizard, consent management is now set-up to handle analytics for your relevant region. In the case of anonymous statistics, the analytics script will be set before consent, but not in Germany, the UK or other regions, where it will be set after consent for statistics.

If this is not correct. Change your answer to:

Question:  Do you compile statistics of your website?

Answer:  Yes, with Google Analytics
Follow-up: All 3 checkboxes ‘unchecked’.

We will now as the question, if statistics requires consent in under ‘statistics configuration’.

It might be you’re using Tag Manager. In this case you should Complianz let handle the implementation. This way we can communicate with the Tag Manager container with custom events. more about configuring Tag Manager after finishing the wizard, read this instruction manual.
